With the season of giving upon us, we at UD want to celebrate our amazing community by giving back together!
How would you like to make a difference this Christmas?
It’s super simple: create your very own Christmas Kindness Jar!
You can use anything you already have at home - a clean jam jar, a pasta sauce jar, or even a decorated tin. Add some festive flair with stickers, paint, ribbon, coloured paper, and don’t forget to write your name and “Christmas Kindness Jar for GOSH” so everyone knows what it’s for.
Spread kindness. Get creative.

How it works
Throughout the festive period, try to complete as many acts of kindness as you can. Every time you do something kind, encourage parents, friends, or visiting family members to pop a small donation into your jar. It’s an easy, fun way to spread kindness and raise money at the same time!
Easy ideas to earn donations:
Washing the dishes or helping clear the table
Tidying your room
Playing with or looking after a younger sibling
Helping a neighbour carry shopping
Walking the dog
Making someone a Christmas card
Offering to help with wrapping presents
Being extra kind to a friend who needs support
Every act counts and every donation, big or small, helps make a meaningful difference. Let’s spread kindness together this Christmas!

We want to celebrate your creativity and generosity this Christmas - so we’re making things a little more exciting!
Top 2 Fundraisers
The two players who raise the most money in their Christmas Kindness Jars will each win a gift voucher to the store of their choice - worth double the amount they donated, up to a maximum of £200.
Best Decorated Jar
Show off your creative side! Post a photo of your decorated jar on social media and tag United Dragons FC. The best decorated jar will win a £50 voucher to the store of your choice.

Step 1 - Make your jar
Use anything you already have: a jam jar, pasta sauce jar, tin, or container. Decorate it with festive flair—stickers, paint, ribbon, glitter, coloured paper—and don’t forget to include your name and “Christmas Kindness Jar for GOSH.”

Step 2 - Earn donations through acts of kindness
Every time your child completes an act of kindness, encourage a parent, friend, or family member to pop a donation into the jar.

Step 3 - Bring your jar back
At your first training session in January, simply bring your filled jar and hand in your total. Every penny goes directly to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

1: Sign up online
To take part, simply fill in the form online with your name and email address. There’s also a consent section - if you’re happy to be featured in any photos or videos on our social media, tick the consent box.
2: Social Media & Competition
You’re warmly invited to share your Christmas Kindness Jar on social media! If you’d like to join the fun and enter our “Best Jar” competition, just make sure you’ve given consent and tag United Dragons FC in your posts. If social media isn’t your thing, no worries at all - you can still take part and enjoy the activity with everyone.
3: Start spreading kindness
Once you’ve signed up, get creative with your jar and start collecting donations for every act of kindness you complete. Remember, every little bit helps support GOSH.

The competition opens from this weekend starting the 12th of December and closes at the end of January, giving you plenty of time to get earning!
