Archie's Futsal Journey!

I started Futsal training about 3 years ago, not long after joining UD.  It was Daryl and Denerson who first suggested that Futsal training would help my football skills as being one of the smaller members of the football team it was apparent I was lacking some confidence to tackle and get properly involved with the ball in our football matches. 

During my first year of Futsal, my UD football teammates said that they could see vast improvements in my footwork skills in our matches and during Sunday training sessions.   Not only is Futsal great for improving  footwork it’s also a brilliant experience. It’s fast paced and requires strength and agility.   I feel honoured to be continuously learning new skills from the man himself, Denerson (Head of Futsal), every Friday night. 

I’m now in my third season playing for UD and my third season of weekly Futsal training.  My coaches all say that my football game on the pitch has vastly improved over the years.  I totally believe this is because of the Futsal training I do every Friday evening.  Futsal gives you a second understanding of football and what to do in various situations and has most definitely given me so much more confidence on the football pitch. 

This programme has helped me so much and I am ever so thankful to the Futsal team and UD for introducing me into it.
