UD: May League Update
The wet and windy month of May has seen our UD players perform some of the finest football we have had the pleasure of seeing all season.
Whilst the weather certainly hasn’t been kind to us, it has been an action packed month with well over 50 games played.
Starting with our U7s AKA the future. This group of players have really started to gel. The results have been positive, the performances exceptional and there is a feel good factor surrounding the team!
Our U8s continue to impress with their development. The children are learning new tactical aspects of the game and it’s been a joy to watch them grow as a team.
The U9s have had some tough fixtures this month, however the spirit remains high and the attitude outstanding. The U9 red team have put on some of the most fantastic performances we have witnessed this year. Milo Morgan with recent hat-trick and bullet header in the top corner springs to mind.
The U10s continue to pick up victories, playing some breathtaking football; Whilst the U11s are playing with such swagger and confidence.
The U12s remain top of the league and have surely wrapped up both Regent’s Park league and Market Road titles... take a bow.
The U13s have enjoyed a busy month with a total of three games in May. The team has secured European football next year with a top 4 finish!
Our UD Girls never cease to amaze us with their development, team camaraderie and determination. The U9 Girls have found their feet, playing some excellent football and have started to win some well deserved games. The U11 Girls have well and truly found their rhythm and the U13 Girls have made some big strides in what is a very tough league!
As the season comes to a close - we’d like to thank all of the UD players for their immense efforts this season. It had been a stop start year, but the commitment and patience shown has been incredible.
Thank you to all of our amazing parents who support our players so gallantly. In rain or shine, we can always depend on the parents to cheer on the team!
