UD Coaches Profile : Meet Chris

Former professional footballer, Chris started his playing career at Premier League club Brentford where he played academy football up to the age of 18, where he received his first professional contract. Following Brentford, Chris played for two years at Woking FC and captained the team from central midfield.

Chris made the tough decision to hang up his boots in order to further educate himself in the world of football, education and coaching. Chris attended Southampton University and received a first class degree in sport and exercise science.

After University, Chris returned to London and accepted a coaching role at Fulham FC, where he worked closely with the academy in developing a thriving curriculum, whilst nurturing some of the best young players in the sport.

Chris has been passionate about continuing his professional development and he currently holds a UEFA B licence coaching qualification, along with becoming a Qualified PE teacher. Chris has used these qualifications to secure the role of Head of Football in some of the most prestigious schools in the country. A post Chris currently still holds at a Prep school in South West London.

Chris has brought a wealth of professionalism, expertise and experience to his role as Director at United Dragons. Chris has introduced a new, thriving coaching curriculum to the club, whilst offering mentorship opportunities for young coaches. Chris loves working at United Dragons and is passionate about providing excellent footballing opportunities to young children in London. Chris is committed and determined to continue to increase the offering at the club whilst paying particular focus on developing football for girls.
