UD Coaches Profile : Meet Ryan

Ryan Moore

Ryan has worked in the professional sport sector for over 15 years following on from a football career that began at his boyhood club, Newcastle United FC. Ryan’s playing career seen him represent many great clubs, both in England and the USA as well as gaining 7 international caps for the principality of Sealand where he still remains their record goalscorer with 6 goals in 7 international games.

It was in Colorado where Ryan first turned his attention to coaching and began working to develop Colorado’s elite soccer players aged 8-16 years.

On return back to the UK, Ryan took up the offer to join the coaching team at Fulham FC where he worked for 5 years and helped nurture some of the best young talent from around the world before later joining NFL’s the Jacksonville Jaguars as the ‘UK Grassroots & Marketing Manager’ in 2016, a position he still holds today.

Ryan, older brother of UDFC club founder Daryl Moore, has been instrumental in raising our clubs standards and bringing a real sense of fun and enjoyment to all of our sessions. We are fortunate to add Ryan’s vast knowledge and experience to our club and he remains as committed as ever to improving our players and making sure that we provide the perfect learning environment for children of all ages/abilities.

Having coached thousands of children from across the world, I feel so passionate about the great work UDFC are doing each week to nurture and develop so many children using the power of sport. The personality of our club sets us apart from so many other grassroots teams and I am deeply commitment in ensuring that UDFC continue bringing professional standards to grassroots football
